a soccer pitch - gallery hollandsche spoorweg nijmegen - 1985

Drost made the installation 'a socker pitch' especially for the space of Hollandsche Spoorweg. This installation was connected to the installation 'boom blauw bas' presented at the same time in the church in Persingen.

Footballing boys figures, sawn in line from large sheets of plywood, frolic through space on a surface of grass-green carpet. In the midst of them is one naked boy, somewhat tainted, on painted textiles between two glass plates. From the street side, the viewer looks through painted curtains, as it were, in a viewing box, on a stage.

In the basement room of the art center, Drost placed some images in which a teddy bear plays the leading role.
